We are proud to have been chosen by the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) to join its trade mission to Money 20/20 Europe representing UK fintech.

Nick Murray-Leslie and Michael Deeny are leading our presence at the UK Pavillion, where we will be profiling UK-domiciled fintech and advising and supporting non-UK firms looking to launch or expand their services through the UK.

We will be working with seven UK fintech bodies on the UK Pavilion, each representing a delegation of UK fintechs, including Fintech Alliance and Barclays Rise.

Money 20/20 Europe is one of the world’s leading fintech events. Each year, it provides a home to the industry’s boldest and brightest new and established voices – where the money ecosystem comes together to shape what’s next for the industry. In 2024, the event will welcome:

  • 8,500 delegates from over 100 countries
  • 2,300+ companies
  • 300+ journalists and media outlets

Despite a challenging 2023 which saw fintech funding drop by 34%, British fintechs still attracted more funding than those in France, Germany, China, India, Brazil and Canada combined. It also saw the biggest deal in Europe, with Finastra raising USD 6.9bn.

UK AI fintech Abound recently raised a financing round that could reach a combined $800m while iwoca landed a £270m debt funding package from Citibank and Barclays and we have also seen strong investment and innovation in the UK’s regions.

In Belfast, where Chatsworth has an office, US-based payments fintech DailyPay announced a £24m investment and Northern Ireland was ranked the number one mid-sized European region of the future in the FDI strategy category.

We are passionate advocates for fintech innovation across the UK and its regions and look forward to representing our sector as part of the UK DBT’s trade mission at Money 20/20 Europe in June.
