There are hundreds, if not thousands of fintech events each year, making it more challenging to prioritise. Team Chatsworth gives you a head start with our list of the top fintechs events in 2024.

After a difficult year for many firms in the fintech sector, the focus has shifted from a growth at all costs mindset towards more sustainable, profitable growth. 

With the C-suite significantly more budget-conscious than in years gone by, comms and marketing professionals must ensure they are prioritising the right channels and do more with less. 

Events often represent a big chunk of marketing budgets and given there are now hundreds, if not thousands of fintech events each year, it’s getting all the more challenging to pick out the best ones to attend.

Stockholm Fintech Week: 12 – 16 February, Stockholm 

This year’s fintech events calendar kicks off with Stockholm Fintech Week, Sweden’s offering to connect startup founders, industry experts and investors.  

Its itinerary includes a two-day conference as well as a host of side events from industry leaders. The full overview is as follows:

PAY360: 19-20 March, London

Digital Assets Forum: 15 April, London 

The Digital Assets Forum is the perfect opportunity to meet everyone who matters in the digital assets space.

Innovate Finance Global Summit: 15-16 April, London

Consensus by CoinDesk: 29-31 May, Texas 

Consensus is one of the world’s largest, longest-running and most influential fintech events that brings together all sides of the cryptocurrency, blockchain and Web3 community. 

From hard-hitting conversations with visionary speakers to hands-on workshops aimed at solving industry challenges, developers, investors, founders, brands, policymakers and more will walk away with the tools and insights needed to continue laying the foundation of a more decentralized future. It’s a great way to be a part of the most important conversations in Web3 and crypto. 

Money20/20 Europe: 4-6 June, Amsterdam 

Money20/20 is home to the global leaders and challengers. From tech giants to the fastest-growing startups, everyone who is someone in money is found here – ready to access the knowledge, trends, expert insights, and new ideas while making the connections to prepare for what’s coming next for the money ecosystem. 

This year’s show theme is ‘Human X Machine which covers how humans and our increasingly intelligent machine counterparts are combining to create a whole new world. In this age of transformation, the discussions will seek to explore how efficiency will increase in ways we can’t comprehend and will unveil the stories of those who dare to navigate this uncharted territory. 

EBAday: 18-19 June, Lisbon 

This event, hosted by the Euro Banking Association and Finextra, is an annual summit for the leading payments and transaction banking executives responsible for business and technology strategies, procurement processes, implementation and management. 

With the overarching theme of ‘Orchestrating the dialogue on payments  – The Collaborative Advantage’, this year’s EBAday promises to enlighten, provoke debate and support effective networking.  

The panel discussions will cover a variety of matters concerning the payments and banking sectors, including next-generation banking, embedded finance, CBDCs and instant payments. These conversations will offer a great opportunity to debate and network with industry peers, and meet the trailblazing startups and entrepreneurs who are leading digital transformation. 

European Blockchain Convention: 25-26 September, Barcelona 

The European Blockchain Convention was born with the mission to accelerate the blockchain ecosystem in Europe. This year, its audience of founders, investors, regulators, developers, corporations, and more will come together to learn, get inspired, and connect. The event will focus on five key areas within blockchain: digital assets and finance, Web3, infrastructure, policy and blockchain enterprise.

Sibos: 21-24 October, Beijing

Singapore Fintech Festival: 6-8 November, Singapore
