The Transatlantic Fintech Exchange

The Fintech Corridor: Supporting Ireland’s first ever Transatlantic Fintech Exchange

The Fintech Corridor appointed Chatsworth as the communications partner for a one-of-a-kind event which connected Ireland’s fintech community with senior fintech leaders in the US.

The Fintech Corridor is a unique cluster that aims to increase cooperation and collaboration amongst fintechs on the island of Ireland. With the island of Ireland fast becoming a global centre for fintech, The Fintech Corridor is building connectivity across the UK, Europe and the US and bolstering investment in fintech across Ireland.

Hilary Moran, CEO of The Fintech Corridor, appointed Chatsworth as the communications partner for a one-of-a-kind event, delivered in partnership with the American Transaction Processors Coalition (ATPC), which connected Ireland’s fintech community with senior fintech leaders in the US.

Held in iconic venues including the Guinness Storehouse, Belfast City Hall and Killeavy Castle, the Transatlantic Fintech Exchange brought together senior fintech leaders and government development agencies to drive collaboration across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the US.

“It was an absolute pleasure to partner with Chatsworth for The Transatlantic Fintech Exchange. The team helped create a real buzz around the event by crafting engaging digital content and media outreach and they provided invaluable strategic advice along the way.”

Our approach

Chatsworth employed a mixture of media relations and digital communications to raise awareness in the run-up to the Transatlantic Fintech Exchange with the ultimate aim of supporting ticket sales and generating interest in The Fintech Corridor.

We drafted and distributed an announcement to NI, ROI and UK media to build interest in the event and encourage people to sign up. We liaised with key partners including ATPC, Belfast City Council, senior politicians and the Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor (DBEC) partnership to secure supportive quotes and provide third-party advocacy. Our media outreach secured coverage in key Irish fintech media, generating interest among key audiences in the run up to the event.

We also tapped into The Fintech Corridor’s engaged LinkedIn community to announce speakers and sponsors, highlight key sessions and topics and amplify earned media. We focused on keynote speakers likely to grab attention such as senior ministers, big tech firms including Google and PayPal and local firms including FinTrU and fscom.

During event week, the team posted images and quotes from speakers and shared key insights from sessions to share knowledge and build The Fintech Corridor’s LinkedIn following. This generated well over 1,000 engagements and 5,000 clicks and increased overall followers by nearly 20%.

The Transatlantic Fintech Exchange was a huge success and plans are in place for a similar event state-side in 2025.

“The Chatsworth team was so professional and great to work with, their commitment to going the extra mile was impressive. I couldn’t be happier with the coverage, and results.”

Chatsworth in Belfast

In 2023, Chatsworth opened its Belfast office to tap into the city’s thriving fintech scene and deep pool of talent. We have had the pleasure of supporting fintechs across Ireland and look forward to deepening our connections here and growing the island’s reputation as a flourishing fintech hub.

While it’s not as established as some of the major fintech clusters around the UK and Europe, it feels like there is real momentum growing behind the fintech scene here.

By being ambitious and looking beyond our local ecosystem, telling our story in the right way via the right channels, we can create huge opportunities across the island of Ireland and really put ourselves on the map as a great place for fintechs to grow and prosper.
